Welcome to the Nelson Western Riding Club!
The goal of the very first committee was to bring people in the Nelson area together to enjoy and promote the sport of western riding.
Since it's small beginnings in the early 1980's with only a handful of members the Club now has it's own arena and facilities at the Rough Island Equestrian Park and hosts and organises many regular shows, training days and other events.
The Nelson Western Riding Club is a result of the effort that it's members put in. All volunteers, the members have created an active and friendly community and a lively club with a fun and competitive spirit. We encourage anyone with an interest in the sport to take a closer look, or to get involved and become a member.
